[Once the bar gets its round of ales and really starts singing, Elizabeth gets into it. Really into it...]
[And while she's generally a one-or-two-drinks type of girl, after she shudders through an additional shot of tequila some well-meaning person offered her, all bets are off. She's clapping right along with everyone and laughing as people stumble over one another trying to dance.]
This is amazing!

He is a failure as a chaperone and yet he finds he doesn't really care, because this IS turning out to be rather fun.
But he is also not planning on getting drunk himself, so he's just drinking a beer for the time being as he watches her enjoy herself.]
You wouldn't think this was your first time at a bar. You're a natural at this.
no subject
What about you? [Elizabeth points at his beer, still grinning as though she knows something Gai doesn't know. ...which she doesn't. At all.] Is that all you're going to have?
no subject
[He takes another sip of beer to punctuate that statement, and also to hide his own smile. Okay, so this may be the makings of a disaster just waiting to happen, but she's kind of adorable when she's tipsy like this.]
no subject
So... wait a minute. You would walk me home even if I hadn't had something to drink, wouldn't you?
no subject
Her question causes him to blink as he sets his glass down, not quite sure what she's getting at.]
Yeah, of course. You didn't think I would?
no subject
no subject
[Really, of all the silly things to be asking.]
no subject
But... it's a part of the date, the walking? [She gestures a bit, somewhat unnecessarily.] When do I walk you home, then? When I haven't had alcohol?
no subject
[He'll just wave the bartender down to ask for a glass of it, and maybe some chips or something to munch on as well.
Note to self: find a second date option that does NOT involve alcohol.]
no subject
I shouldn't have had so much, though. [She frowns as the water comes down in front of her.] It was my turn to walk you, technically.
no subject
That's why you'll regret it tomorrow morning. Make sure you drink that entire glass; that should help keep it from being too bad. A hangover is one rite of passage that you can live without.
no subject
The whole glass...? [Gosh, that's a very big glass.] ...would it really be so bad if I didn't?
no subject
[... oh god when did he turn into a babysitter? That's what he is right now, isn't it?
Well. At least this will be a learning experience?]

Something tells me you would be up dancing on those tables with the other patrons if I wasn't here.
no subject
You want to see me dance on the table?
no subject
Only if I get to do it too.
no subject
[The last time she asked someone to dance with her, it was Booker, and he had been grumpy and refused. Excited doesn't begin to cover how Elizabeth feels when Gai wants to dance with her on a table in a bar.]
Why are we still sitting here?! [Elizabeth sets the glass of water down on the floor, hikes up her skirt and steps up onto her chair and up onto the table. And woo, that's a bit of a headrush--she wobbles a little.]
Come on! [She laughs and holds both of her hands out to give Gai some help up. Though maybe it isn't the best idea for Elizabeth to be stabilizing someone else...]
no subject
He's done a lot of crazy things in his time. This, however, is new even for him.]
Another rock-and-roll number?
no subject
Do we have enough room? [She looks around the not tiny, but not massive table.] I don't want my heel sliding off!
no subject
[Which... is probably a BAD idea given that she's been drinking, but given how talkative she is, Gai is counting on her to say something if she starts feeling dizzy or worse.
When she leans, he just stands there quietly for a moment to allow it. It DOES feel nice, nicer than he'd been expecting, even though this really isn't the place for this kind of thing. If anyone dares to stare at them, he'll just shoot them a deadly glance.]
no subject
Fortunately, I am great at turning in circles. [And she lets go of Gai and demonstrates a little twirl. Which given her level of intoxication, is actually fairly graceful.]
no subject
Then shall we?
[He's also going to be the one leading this dance, for obvious reasons.]
