It took a little asking to find her and- well there she is. Looking nothing like the damn reports of a 'burning eye'd arsonist' the media liked to spin and more like. Well. Any other young woman that was really outta place on an army base. Still. He ables up with a smile, offering his hand.
"Hey, Elizabeth, right? I'm York. I'm gonna be working with you in the Department of Justice. Y'know. After."
Elizabeth's eyes are burning alright-- from very little sleep. If she's not working on some crafting project, she's up worrying about her trial and wondering why her lawyer wasn't calling her back (hint: 3AM). When York finds her, she's nearly asleep in her casserole.
She looks at his hand, then up at him.
"Oh--! Oh, right, after the trial, right," she smiles and takes his hand. "Nice to meet you, Mr. York. I didn't know my prospects after the trial were already public knowledge."
"Probably isn't. Hob told me when I came in to deliver a gift. Had a sit down 'come to jesus' talk. Sort of literally sort of not." Church, ha. Church and casserole. He shrugs and scrubs the back of his head, trying to appear as disarming as possible. "Just York- or well. I guess if this is a thing I'm doing you can just call me Taylor. York's kind of an oudated code name."
"Come to Jesus...?" Elizabeth hasn't actually heard that before, but she'll roll with it. She heard General Ravani's name in there, so that's good enough for her. There's a few uncertain beats while York figures out what Elizabeth should call him, but she stays patient throughout.
"Alright, if you're alright with me calling you Taylor, you can call me Liz," she smiles and indicates York should sit. "So what plans does General Ravani have for you in the Order?"
"Just that I should get put in. I don't think it's got all that much by way of people since the change over and the General doesn't really seem like she wants to get too hands on. I'm a former infiltration specialist and rainbow space marine so...wherever that'll do the most good." He shrugs, sliding in across from her. "I look forward to working with you, Liz."
"...Bright colors for stealth operatives. How about that." At least it wasn't outer space full of rainbows.
"Well, I'm guessing that because you're a marine you know how to fire a gun. And I'm pretty good at stealth operations myself. Maybe we'll work on something together sometime."
"I just wore the armor, I didn't design it." He shrugs. "Figure our Uniform will be a little more subdued here but that's fine. I was under the impression we were gonna be paired up. Partners."
"Partners?" This is clearly new information to her, and she doesn't look thrilled. She's only had one person she's considered to be a partner, and that's Booker. It would always be Booker, and only him.
"Gosh, that sounds like it could be really great, but I'm not the best partner. For anybody, really. I usually work by myself."
"And I used to have a squad till- well let's just say shit went bad real quick." He hadn't really tried his hand at a proper partnership since then. "We'll figure it out."
"I meant the Order of Justice thing. Whether we work together or solo, man, that depends on what needs doing more than anything else, right? I figure we work on our own to start we'll cover more ground." Backups' wrothwhile but they can both get around pretty quick, right?

"Well I used to have a partner too, and I lost him. Not really in a rush to 'figure it out' again."

"Alright, I'm willing to be flexible while we both get our feet planted in the Order. I'm not against giving it a try, I guess."
