deux + voice/action

[Voice]

I've-- Oh, wait. Hello Luceti! [Right, she can't just start talking like you do with Voxophones.]

I've recently, this past New Feather cycle, brought two more people into my apartment. Up until now I haven't been... cooking, exactly. [She's been eating whatever she can get ready-made, namely.] Does anyone have any... somewhat simple cooking recipes for two adult men and one slightly smaller girl?

And can someone explain to me how to work the oven...?

[Action]

[Later in the day, Elizabeth ventures out to the grocery store to pick up things for her first cooking adventure! Though it's a trial, even at the store. Elizabeth keeps looking between different things and consulting her journal and looking back at the shelves... and frowning. Because this is all extremely complicated. No wonder this was done for her every day... This would probably take her weeks to figure out.]

Two new people? [Although it's been a very long time since she's spoken to Elizabeth, listening to the broadcast jogs Pepper's memories of her. She can see in her mind the woman asking about how the time differences work, along with life and death. The uncertainty she'd had about whether or not she and her friend had survived.

Maybe now she has those answers.]

I can help you out with that. The recipes and the oven bit. I've been learning how to cook myself. [Although she'd started off ahead of Elizabeth, since ovens weren't foreign to her even when she first started taking lessons with Eugene.]

Oh, good.  I’m glad.  [Not that he’d ended up in Luceti, per say, but that Elizabeth doesn’t have to fret so much, or be alone.]  And it’s nice to hear from you too.

[Hey, she doesn’t mind it.  Elizabeth seems like a sweet girl.]  For a lot of it, yes.  It helps having something you can reference as you go along.  But I’ve also got a friend who’s been teaching me things.  I don’t know if you’ve met Eugene Woods here?  But he’s a very good cook and teacher.

It's very likely. [Considering he'd been the guest of honor, and the way she'd found Bucky the morning after? Pepper's willing to bet on it.]

He might remember. And even if he doesn't, I'm sure he'll be very glad to meet you again. He's very sweet, and also knowledgeable when it comes to cooking.

Well, in that setting I doubt he was talking much about making cakes. [Jack had painted a very clear description of what would be going on—which had been why Pepper and Tony both opted not to attend. While it clearly had been fun, it wasn’t their sort of scene.

The next question earns a grin, however.]
A bit of both. I didn't cook so much back home because of my job, but I really enjoy it.
