And you love every moment of it when I do, if the sounds you make are any indication.

[He gives his hips just the tiniest rock to punctuate his sentence, grinning away the entire time. Nothing "illicit" about her statement in his eyes.]

Doesn't sound that awful to me. Two minutes is plenty of time for us to catch our breath. Or do you really think you've worn me out already?

No, I didn't think that you were worn out. [Elizabeth raises an eyebrow at him, then rolls off of Gai to cuddle against his side.]

But I want a moment. You've pulled all the fire out of me, I'm all quiet love now.

[Gai just reaches an arm out to wrap around her and tug her against his side to cuddle with him. Honestly, he's rather glad she wants a break, as he's getting to the point where he could use at least a short one too.]

That's fine by me-- I think we could both use a breather. Besides, if we're going to do it again, I'll have to put on another condom, and I'm getting tired of messing with those things for now.

[Elizabeth laughs and stretches up to put a kiss on his jaw.] I'm getting tired of your leaving the bed to mess with those things.

We're not going to go through the whole box today, are we? [Not that she would complain, it's purely a concern for quantity and replacing the box.]

Do you really want me to take that as a challenge?

[Because he will, if she decides to say yes. He can always just leave Law a message over the journals asking him to teleport some more in. What else are bros for, after all?]

Ugh, God Gai... [Elizabeth falls limp in Gai's arms and giggles.] I want to be able to walk next week you know!

Why not just let me carry you instead? You did just comment on how good I was at handling you...

[Okay, he couldn't really resist that one.]

[She snorts and attempts to roll out of Gai's arms. This is what your inability to resist nets you, Gai.] Yes, because that would take care of everything.

[Oh no you don't, Elizabeth. Gai is just going to try to pull her closer, nuzzling at the base of her ear.]

Running away from me so soon?

[Oh wonderful, she was hoping for that. Elizabeth giggles and rests her arms over Gai's, tilting her head to allow for the nuzzle.]

Well I think we just proved that good things happen when I try to run away.

So this was all part of your nefarious plan?

[He nuzzles for a little longer, then drops a kiss on the skin there.]

I really am being a terrible influence on you.

Oh, little do you know, I made a habit of running away from Booker before I even knew you. [She laughs and reaches back to comb her fingers through Gai's hair.] I was this bad to begin with, you had absolutely nothing to do with it.

[Gai closes his eyes and just relaxes into that hair-petting, going slightly boneless as she strokes his hair.]

Feed my ego and then tear it down, all in the span of thirty seconds.

Oh shush, you. [Grinning, she tugs lightly on a lock of Gai's hair.] I didn't jump into bed with him when he caught me, you're special.

[Now he opens his eyes and smirks.]

And I didn't stay in bed with any other woman besides you.

[He always had a strict policy, in fact: once it was done, he'd leave. No cuddling, no staying around, nothing.]

Not one? Those poor girls...

[Of course, she only pities them because she has Gai, pretty firmly, around her finger. Otherwise there would be pouting.]

I didn't love any of them.

[It's as simple as that. He did it to get something he wanted or to have a little fun, that was all. There were no emotions involved, at least not on his end.]

[Elizabeth doesn't really see the connection between love and cuddling, but it clearly matters to Gai. So she turns around and wraps her arms around his waist.]

So short a love-affair with your warmth. It's to be pitied, obviously. And that doesn't even start to cover the loss of this chest...

[Gai huffs a quiet laugh and tilts his head to nuzzle at her hair.]

Is that really the part of me that you'd miss the most? And here I thought it would be something else...

It is something else, Mister Hasty. [Elizabeth grins and prods him at the center of his chest.]

If I could only see one thing of yours for the rest of my life... it would be your eyes.

You don't find them unnerving at all?

[It's an honest question, because it's something he's been told before.]

No! [Unnerving? Ridiculous.]

They're just... incredibly expressive. I can feel how you love me through your gazes, I knew you were hurting that night you came home. Who told you they were unnerving? [She searches for Gai's hand so she can hold it.] Whoever did, they just aren't open to what you're trying to tell them.

Some people think it feels like I'm looking into their soul. [He gives her hand a squeeze.] And for some people, I am. I can see peoples' Voids if they have one, so I really am looking straight at their hearts.

[She squeezes back.] Then maybe I'm not unnerved because you've already seen my heart. Every good and bad thing in it.

And you've already seen mine, which makes the two of us even. At least yours has a lot more good to balance out the bad in mine.
