[Elizabeth finds the wrapping a little curious, but once she opens it she's absolutely delighted. She lays the coat out on her bed and inspects it, marveling over the craftsmanship and all the little pockets, then she reads the card. Oh, from dear Mr. Hart, of course.]
[She pulls the coat on and buttons it all the way up, trying to look at herself and turning around. After a moment, she leaves her room and goes next door, knocking and hoping Harry is in so he can see what his handiwork looks like on her.]
[ Harry opens the door only after a moment and smiles as he takes in Elizabeth in her lovely new coat. He's rather proud of it, all told. He'd modified the pattern from one he'd worked on back in the Kingsman shop, made the lines more elegant and suited to a young woman. The pockets were the sort he'd have made standard on all agent coats if he had his way. ]
Miss DeWitt. I hope I wasn't too presumptuous in leaving you a present. I am glad it seems to fit you so well, though.
Are you kidding me? Look at this! [She turns around so he can see, grinning ear-to-ear.] It fits like a glove! I mean, there's a measurement, and then there's the actual body. This is amazing.
[Elizabeth reaches out for Harry's hand so she can give him a little thank-you squeeze, feeling honestly touched and full of emotion.] Not bad at all for my first Christmas gift, I'd say.
[ He's about to go into the wonders of custom tailoring versus things bought off the peg, but her holding his hand and telling him this was her first Christmas gift leaves him stunned quiet for a moment.
It's rather heart breaking. He clears his throat and puts his other hand atop hers. A young woman deserved to be treated so much better than that. ] I'm pleased you like it, truly. May you receive many more gifts in the future.
Honestly? The best part of this is knowing you thought of me. [Through hours of tailoring-- she knows that it takes a long time to sew a piece of clothing, especially something so well-made as this coat.]
[Elizabeth looks down at their hands and debates for a moment.] Are you busy right now? Maybe we could have a cup of tea if you don't have too much work?
[Oh! Even better! Elizabeth had thought they would go to the mess hall if Harry wasn't prepared for company, but clearly she should have realized a gentleman is always prepared.]
Thank you! [Elizabeth glows as she enters the room. She probably should take the coat off but... she really doesn't want to. Just a few more minutes.]
I never had a chance to try chai tea. I've heard it's very different from the the usual black teas. More... spicy?

[ He steps aside so she can come inside, the electric kettle sitting in its usual place on his desk. ]
I managed to acquire some chai tea recently if you'd like to try it. I've found it to be rather nice during the colder months.
