[The feed starts with Elizabeth still trying to figure out how to get both Gai and her in the frame. She shifts to her right and laughs when it doesn't really help.]

Oh, this is why I never use this function! You don't have to dance around like this to record sound.

Don't worry, that's still a problem with cameras in my era. Even having a zoom button doesn't help that much.

A--? [She sighs and shakes her head. He'll explain what a zoom button is after they're done.] Nevermind, it's recording and I'm not getting to the point.

Good morning Luceti! Ah, six months back, Gai knelt down in the snow and asked me to marry him. And I said yes, just so he would get out of the snow, obviously. [Elizabeth giggles and shoulders Gai a little.]

[Gai smirks, tossing his hair.] The things I'm willing to endure for the sake of love. Truly a great sacrifice.

You do suffer so. [She gives the camera a look.] But we're finally having a ceremony to go with the great sacrifice his pants endured. On July 30th. And even though our ceremony is going to be small-- [Elizabeth looks back at Gai and nods, clearly this was something they talked about] --we'd like to welcome everyone to the reception, on the beach, after sunset.

[He nods in return.] But if you're just showing up for the alcohol, you're going to be disappointed.

[Elizabeth frowns slightly.] Are we not having alcohol?

Not in unlimited quantities. [Booker, the Luteces, and unlimited alcohol. This is not something he wants to see.]

Oh... yes, very true. [Truth be told, she isn't sure she wants to see everyone completely smashed and littered all over the beach.] Guess that means come early or stay sober. [She grins.]

[Gai lets out a soft laugh and slips his arm around her, letting himself be a little more openly affectionate than he usually is. It's a wedding announcement, he is totally allowed, okay.]

[Yes, he is completely allowed, and Elizabeth rather enjoys the mild public display of affection. She smiles warmly up at him, then realizes a few awkward seconds in that the network is essentially watching them cuddle. The entire Luceti network. Which includes Booker. That has her reaching for the button to end the feed.]

[And of course, now that Elizabeth has been bitten by the proverbial marriage bug, she's running around town trying to make decisions surrounding the reception. Food-wise, decor-wise, she's just going to load herself up and bring things back to Gai to see what he thinks. She's stopping at the grocery store, at Good Spirits to get advice on alcohol, and finally she starts sifting through what's in the Item Shop to see if there's anything she's looking for-- mainly, little electric lights.]

[She thinks she sees a plug behind a large bag, and she pulls it out of the way with some effort. Behind the large bag is a bag of golf clubs.]

[Elizabeth tenses as disjointed, meaningless images superimpose themselves across her vision. She feels her shoulder hit a nearby cabinet as she sways on her feet. Once it's over, she's left panting as though she's sprinted a hundred yards. What in the world...?]

[Gai is helping out on the wedding preparations too, in his own way. A little less hands-on than Elizabeth is, but that's more because he's never even been to a wedding and doesn't have the first clue what sort of things one needs for such an event. Rings, yes, those are already taken care off. An officiant, which has also been decided. Food and alcohol seem to be settled, he's got a couple of suits to choose from...

What he IS good at is making plans, which is why he's currently seated in the living room of Elizabeth's house surrounded by sheets of paper with various diagrams for the layout of the ceremony and reception. To be honest, it looks more like he's planning a mission than a wedding.]

[Eventually, Elizabeth comes home with her arms full of a few interesting glass vases and ribbons and things. She had expected to come home with more, but that strange moment in the item shop had left her a little shaken. So coming home sounded like a good idea.]

[When she walks in, the living room has been apparently transformed into a War Room. Elizabeth stops and stares, wondering what could require so much paper everywhere.]

[At the sound of her voice, he looks up and flashes a smile at her, noting with interest the armful of items she's carrying.]

Will saying yes mean I get roped into being a pack mule?

[Well, when Gai smiles, Elizabeth can't help but smile too. She walks over to his spot on the couch and bends down to put a quick kiss on him.]

No, this is all for today.

Good. That means you can stay here and tell me how much you hate my setups.

[He's joking, of course, and he turns to meet that kiss with his own lips, allowing it to linger for a moment longer than is really necessary.]

[She laughs, letting him linger before breaking it to sit down next to him.] You think I'm really that kind of a bride?

I don't pretend to know much about weddings, but I do know it's not a real one without someone complaining about something. Might as well get that part over with in the beginning.

[His words are somewhat offset by the grin on his face, however.]

Ah, so I see. [She tries to hide her grin behind a calculating expression, but it really doesn't look much different.]

Well I could always give you something to complain about...

[While he may not know exactly what she has in mind, he does know that he wants to find out what it is.]

[She looks down the hallway briefly before looking back at Gai with a smirk.]

No sex two weeks beforehand.

[And suddenly, that didn't seem like such a good idea after all.

HE'S SORRY, ELIZABETH, HE TAKES IT BACK.]

What?

[She has to be joking. She can't actually be SERIOUS about this.]

No sex-- [She holds up her fingers.] --two weeks-- [She points at all the paper.] --before the wedding.

[Gai's face is too amusing to not grin at though.]

[His eyes flit from her fingers to the paper, then back to her again, his expression the entire time looking not unlike a dog who has just been caught digging up the flower bed.]

Now that is just cruel and unusual punishment.

[Elizabeth laughs at Gai's apparently total brain-meltdown and rests her cheek on his shoulder, to be reassuring.] We don't have to, you know. I just thought it might make us a little more... eager, maybe.

Well, when you put it that way...

[And he leans his cheek against her hair, just enjoying the moment between them. Things have been hectic and he knows that they'll continue to be that way until the wedding, so he'll take his bits of peace and quiet where he can get them.]

We don't have to. [She chuckles and reaches to lace her fingers with his.] I mean after all, we're already married, technically. All of this is just a bonus.

Might be fun to build up the excitement, like you said. Make the wedding night that much more special. I think I could hold off for two weeks if it meant a bigger payoff in the end.

[He catches her hand and immediately entwines his fingers with hers to give it a squeeze.]

Mm... [She squeezes back.] Maybe just one week. As prepared as we think we are, I'm guessing there's going to be plenty of stress anyway.

[Elizabeth sighs and squishes her face into Gai's shoulder more. She already feels stressed, though it's more from what happened at the item shop than the wedding.]

[Now Gai takes this as his cue to slip his other arm around her to pull her closer, fingers tracing soothing patterns over her back. She's stressed, that much is obvious, though he thinks it's due to all of the planning that needs to be done.]

I'm not going to argue making it shorter. The only thing I'd object to would be making it longer.

I'd object to that too-- it feels like you just got to the point where you don't have to be in bed all the time. I'm going to take advantage of that, thank you.

By taking me right back to bed?

[He couldn't resist that one, but it IS the truth.]

And other places. It's been lonely walking the village alone, too. [She can almost feign being injured by the assumption that she's a sex maniac.]

[But Gai has more or less turned her into one.]
