I think that was, maybe, the most haphazard experiment I've been here during. I can't even make a speculation at what the purpose of it was aside from confuse us all.

But I suppose I did meet quite a few people, so perhaps inadvertently its purpose was to remind me of that time when I thought life was much simpler. [That time when she thought no one would ever hurt her, and everything in life was new and beautiful.] And I suppose it gave me my hair back. It's as long as it was before I cut it, now. It's nice, I suppose, but does anyone here give haircuts...?

How are you feeling? I only grazed you with the lamp, didn't I...? [UNSURE TONE IS UNSURE...]

[His grip isn't as strong as it could have been given that he's laughing too, but it should be plenty strong enough to keep her from getting free-- not that he thinks she actually wants to.

He's definitely pleased to encounter no resistance from a corset, however. Also he may be trying to tickle. JUST A LITTLE.

[That pulls another squeal out of her and she jerks in Gai's arms. She is so not used to tickling, but she can't bring herself to pull completely out of his arms.]

Alright, alright! I give up!

Is this a full and unconditional surrender?

[He is not stopping until he gets a yes from her.]

[She giggles and turns until Gai can see he's got a skeptical eyebrow leveled at him while she's fighting the tickling.]

And what-- [Another squeak.] --exactly does that entail?

Whatever you want it to.

[His voice is a breathy purr right into her ear, which is damn well not fair and he knows it. He also doesn't exactly care at the moment. He's already got the upper hand here; why not have some fun with it?]

[Elizabeth has been without Gai's breath in her ear and his hands on her body for a long time. And those few times when they had been together dancing or hugging, or had kissed, or Gai had whispered in her ear, Elizabeth had reeled herself back in knowing that nothing could escalate. But now they had all day and all night, and the sky was the limit as to how far they could go now.]

[She lets out a breathy moan that she must have been holding in for weeks--it's so openly wanting.]

Full and unconditional surrender.

[She'll barely be able to get the words out before Gai's mouth is on hers with an almost ferocious intensity, kissing her with all of the desire and passion he'd had to hold back while he was recovering. But there's no need to hold back or restrain himself now, and he knows that she knows this too, and that's all he needs to pour everything he's been feeling into that kiss right now.

He's wanted to do this so badly ever since he'd returned to Luceti. He needs it, needs her, needs the simple physical contact and affection to start healing the psychological wounds inflicted on him back in his own world.

Most importantly, he knows that she knows how much he needs this, so it's with near desperation that he clings to her and just kisses her as if he were a drowning man seeking salvation.]

[Elizabeth feels herself falling in love with Gai's intensity all over again. She can feel his need and it matches her own, and she's so grateful for that. Gai isn't the only one who's been wanting to do this so badly, he isn't the only one who needs the contact and affection and healing. The fact that they're so in tune with one another that they can feed each other's urges simultaneously aches in a strange, relieved, and happy way. She would hold onto him not only because he needed her, but because she needed him too.]

[She runs her fingers through Gai's hair, also desperate for his kisses, his mouth and tongue. Her dam is developing so many cracks, and she doesn't see a reason to worry. There's only a tidal wave of love behind it.]

[After a minute or so, Elizabeth slides her hands down Gai's neck and to her blouse--which she starts unbuttoning.]

[When at last they break for air, Gai manages a breathless, wondering little laugh. He's not surprised that they can read each other so well, not by now; no, what surprises him is how much just this kissing can heal the ache that's been lingering in his heart since he returned.]

I missed this even when I didn't know I missed it.

[No one has ever loved him before, not like this. Even as Adam, he'd still been second to Shu-- the second choice, because Shu had turned Mana down. But he's not Elizabeth's second choice. She loves him every bit as much as he loves her, and that knowledge alone is incredible.

He rests his forehead against hers for a moment before leaning in for another kiss, pleased to see where her hands have wandered to and what they're doing right now.]

[The very idea that Gai could be anything but her first choice, the only one that was good and right, would offend her. There was no one else for her, no other soul that was bound so closely to her own, and Gai's return had made her whole again. As strong as she had tried to be when he was gone, she felt complete when he held her and loved her with every word he spoke. Even at gunpoint, she would never choose anyone else.]

The second I saw the chemise in your drawer, I thought I was going to die of a broken heart. [She tucks his hair behind one of his ears, one hand brushing over Gai's cheek as though desperately reminding herself he was still there.] I cried, but I never dried up. [She shakes her head a little to emphasize the point before pressing in for another kiss too.]

They left that behind?

[Okay, that was definitely not the most romantic thing to say in this situation. It probably wasn't the right thing either, but he's so torn between laughing over the fact that that of all things was what had remained and being relieved that the Malnosso had at least left him that one small scrap of dignity that he can't help himself.

They really do have a strange sense of humor, he'll give them that much.]

Well all of your things were gone, but technically that chemise was mine. [She arches an eyebrow at him and smiles. She can smile, even after talking about crying for hours. Probably because he's holding her, and it's as though no time has passed.]

You want it back...?

I might...

[And here he tugs her a little bit closer until she's pressed flush up against him, grinning.]

... but I think I'd like the one you're wearing right now on the floor first.

If you made me go home and get it right now, I might have to find another lamp. [She presses her body against Gai, eyes sliding closed briefly because oh God she missed feeling all of him against her.]

Neither one of us is going to be going anywhere for a long- [He presses a kiss to her lips.] - long - [Another kiss.] time.

[It's both a threat and a promise all at once, one he knows she's looking forward to as much as he is.]

[Elizabeth follows that sentence with a kiss of her own, needy and deep. She holds the kiss until she has to breathe.]

You had better mean that. Because I haven't done anything with myself since before we went on the mission. [And on that note, she presses herself a little harder against Gai. Because she can, because she loves how it feels.]

[Gai is all too happy to press back, just lazily arching his hips against her to get a little friction going there. Not that it will take much-- he's already turned on just from this, as she no doubt can tell by now.]

Are you trying to torture me here?

[Oh, she can tell, and she loves it. All of that is because of her, but she plans to take very good care of it...]

You're torturing yourself. You caught me, I'm already half naked under my clothes... What could be easier? [A mischievous look comes over her face and she reaches back for one of Gai's hands--]

Well, I suppose it's easier if I do this. [--and she puts it directly on her breast.]

[That is all the invitation Gai needs to give said breast a soft squeeze, thumb tracing light circles over the fabric there. Yes, this is so much better without that damn corset in the way...]

I'll let you in on a little secret.

[And he leans in, nosing aside some hair to murmur into her ear:]

So am I.

[Gai, being so close to her, can probably hear her swallow after that sentence. So they had both made preparations, so to speak. That blush is probably fairly telling of what's going through her mind, though it might be just from Gai touching her.]

What are we doing still standing here...?

That's a good question.

[And no sooner is that sentence out of his mouth than he's moving to scoop her up into his arms just the way he had on their very first overnight date. He's excited, his entire body is practically humming in anticipation, and he wants to skip straight to the action. There's a time and a place for lengthy foreplay, and in his mind, this isn't it.]

[Elizabeth lets out another little squeak when Gai picks her up, though she had half been expecting this. So she just grins and wraps her arms around Gai's shoulders and nuzzles his ear.]

Let's go to your bedroom. [She sighs softly, as if affected by her own forwardness.] It's been months since you've seen my body, I have to remind you before you run off to find something better. [And of course, she's joking, and even chuckles in his ear to reassure him of that.]

[Gai turns his head enough to return that nuzzling with a smile, since he can't do much else with his hands occupied like this.]

I would never want anything else. [He kisses her hair.] But I also wouldn't object to seeing it again.

[Seeing it and touching it and doing all sorts of things to it... and the thought sends a brief shiver through his entire body, which Elizabeth will likely be able to feel.]

Well don't stand on ceremony for my sake... [Elizabeth felt that shiver, and she's going to milk it for all it's worth. She curls a finger around a lock of Gai's hair and tugs lightly.]

Take me to your bed, and today you can have your fill of me.

[That's enough incentive to get him to start walking in that direction... which requires an impressive amount of control on his part given that he'd really like to just break out into a run.]

I hope you can keep up with me... it's been a while, and I've got a lot of pent-up tension to work out. It might take a few hours.
