I think that was, maybe, the most haphazard experiment I've been here during. I can't even make a speculation at what the purpose of it was aside from confuse us all.

But I suppose I did meet quite a few people, so perhaps inadvertently its purpose was to remind me of that time when I thought life was much simpler. [That time when she thought no one would ever hurt her, and everything in life was new and beautiful.] And I suppose it gave me my hair back. It's as long as it was before I cut it, now. It's nice, I suppose, but does anyone here give haircuts...?

How are you feeling? I only grazed you with the lamp, didn't I...? [UNSURE TONE IS UNSURE...]

[Gai blinks momentarily before realizing what she's up to. It's hot, he can't deny that much, since for him the process of getting into bed is every bit as much fun as what they do when they get there. And he does love a good challenge...

Moving forward again, the grin on his face edging into something more mischievous.]

[So Gai has figured it out. And it looks, to Elizabeth, as though he's intrigued by the 'punishment' Elizabeth has thought up on the fly. But she's a little intrigued by it too--or it might be the fact that she hasn't been alone with Gai in weeks and everything is turning her on.]

[But she also thinks that she and Gai need a little play. Elizabeth moves back with Gai moving forward, looking back as she approaches the couch. And when she gets close enough to it, she steps up onto it.]

[Gai isn't nearly so naive as to think he's got her cornered when she steps up onto the couch. If there's one thing he's learned to expect from Elizabeth, it's that she always knows how to surprise him, so he's not about to let his guard down yet.

Still, he approaches the couch with an almost predatory edge to his smile now. Another thing he's learned is that she likes it when he's playful right back. He may not know what to expect from her right now, but he does know that he can have some fun with whatever it is.]

[Oh yes, this is fun. She likes the look on Gai's face, she can't wait until he catches her. Which Elizabeth knows he will--he picked her up when she was running once, for God's sake.]

[This time, she lets Gai get closer to her, maybe even within arm's reach. But at the last second she's vaulting off the arm of the couch and skirting away.]

[Gai had a hunch something like that was going to happen, which is why his lunge for her was far more controlled than it would have been otherwise and he doesn't go toppling onto the couch when his arms grab air instead of her.

Truth be told, he probably COULD have caught her if he'd tried hard enough, but where would the fun in that be? It's much more fun to get her all breathless and sweaty and...

... okay, maybe this time he's going for her with a bit more enthusiasm and less control.]

[Elizabeth laughs when Gai gives her that escape--it was kind of fun to jump off his couch. She backs away again, almost into the wall, and then Gai comes after her and she squeaks and scampers towards the bedroom hallway.]

[Elizabeth isn't the only one laughing; Gai can't quite keep it under wraps as he goes after her, noting with distinct glee that she's heading towards the bedroom. Of course, this also means she's heading towards a dead end, because there's nothing at the end of that hallway but a wall...]

[And Elizabeth remembers this the second she starts down that hallway. She pauses, wondering if she can correct this somehow, but Gai is right behind her. So down the hall she goes, backwards, trying to look for a hole between Gai and the wall. This might be the end of it, though...]

[She has the choice of ducking into one of the two bedrooms there, but that would be exactly what Gai wants her to do. Granted, they'll (probably) end up in the bedroom either way, but it also means that this little chase will be over very shortly.

And oh, is Gai smiling as he draws close to her...]

[Well, Elizabeth doesn't want to make things quite that easy for Gai, not just yet. She backs up until her back touches the end of the hallway, and she waits and worries her lip in anticipation as he approaches her.]

[Once again, Gai isn't going to let himself think that he actually has her this time. Back to the wall or not, he has no doubt she's still got a few tricks up her sleeve, so he slows down and walks up to her instead of running.

He's still grinning, though, eyes sparkling with mischief and something hotter and more intense than that.]

[Oh... that's a delicious look. It nearly shuts all of Elizabeth's plotting centers down, and distracts her entirely from thinking about how to get away from him. She almost doesn't want to, she wants whatever's behind that look. God she wants it.]

[But she also wants a good end to this game, not just sitting there while he trapped her. So she makes a haphazard, not at all educated dart between Gai and the wall.]

[A valiant effort, but Gai is larger than she is and has sharp reflexes, making it not very difficult at all on his part to reach an arm out and snag her around the waist as she attempts to slip by him.

A part of him is hoping that she makes another one of those adorable little squeaks of hers when he does so; there's just something about that sound that he loves for whatever reason.]

[Gai gets his wish: Elizabeth shrieks in delight when Gai catches her and she squirms (half-heartedly) trying to break free.]

[And, true to her word, Gai's hands meet a squishy stomach, not a boned garment.]

[His grip isn't as strong as it could have been given that he's laughing too, but it should be plenty strong enough to keep her from getting free-- not that he thinks she actually wants to.

He's definitely pleased to encounter no resistance from a corset, however. Also he may be trying to tickle. JUST A LITTLE.

... he can't help it, okay, it was too tempting.]

[That pulls another squeal out of her and she jerks in Gai's arms. She is so not used to tickling, but she can't bring herself to pull completely out of his arms.]

Alright, alright! I give up!

Is this a full and unconditional surrender?

[He is not stopping until he gets a yes from her.]

[She giggles and turns until Gai can see he's got a skeptical eyebrow leveled at him while she's fighting the tickling.]

And what-- [Another squeak.] --exactly does that entail?

Whatever you want it to.

[His voice is a breathy purr right into her ear, which is damn well not fair and he knows it. He also doesn't exactly care at the moment. He's already got the upper hand here; why not have some fun with it?]

[Elizabeth has been without Gai's breath in her ear and his hands on her body for a long time. And those few times when they had been together dancing or hugging, or had kissed, or Gai had whispered in her ear, Elizabeth had reeled herself back in knowing that nothing could escalate. But now they had all day and all night, and the sky was the limit as to how far they could go now.]

[She lets out a breathy moan that she must have been holding in for weeks--it's so openly wanting.]

Full and unconditional surrender.

[She'll barely be able to get the words out before Gai's mouth is on hers with an almost ferocious intensity, kissing her with all of the desire and passion he'd had to hold back while he was recovering. But there's no need to hold back or restrain himself now, and he knows that she knows this too, and that's all he needs to pour everything he's been feeling into that kiss right now.

He's wanted to do this so badly ever since he'd returned to Luceti. He needs it, needs her, needs the simple physical contact and affection to start healing the psychological wounds inflicted on him back in his own world.

Most importantly, he knows that she knows how much he needs this, so it's with near desperation that he clings to her and just kisses her as if he were a drowning man seeking salvation.]

[Elizabeth feels herself falling in love with Gai's intensity all over again. She can feel his need and it matches her own, and she's so grateful for that. Gai isn't the only one who's been wanting to do this so badly, he isn't the only one who needs the contact and affection and healing. The fact that they're so in tune with one another that they can feed each other's urges simultaneously aches in a strange, relieved, and happy way. She would hold onto him not only because he needed her, but because she needed him too.]

[She runs her fingers through Gai's hair, also desperate for his kisses, his mouth and tongue. Her dam is developing so many cracks, and she doesn't see a reason to worry. There's only a tidal wave of love behind it.]

[After a minute or so, Elizabeth slides her hands down Gai's neck and to her blouse--which she starts unbuttoning.]

[When at last they break for air, Gai manages a breathless, wondering little laugh. He's not surprised that they can read each other so well, not by now; no, what surprises him is how much just this kissing can heal the ache that's been lingering in his heart since he returned.]

I missed this even when I didn't know I missed it.

[No one has ever loved him before, not like this. Even as Adam, he'd still been second to Shu-- the second choice, because Shu had turned Mana down. But he's not Elizabeth's second choice. She loves him every bit as much as he loves her, and that knowledge alone is incredible.

He rests his forehead against hers for a moment before leaning in for another kiss, pleased to see where her hands have wandered to and what they're doing right now.]

[The very idea that Gai could be anything but her first choice, the only one that was good and right, would offend her. There was no one else for her, no other soul that was bound so closely to her own, and Gai's return had made her whole again. As strong as she had tried to be when he was gone, she felt complete when he held her and loved her with every word he spoke. Even at gunpoint, she would never choose anyone else.]

The second I saw the chemise in your drawer, I thought I was going to die of a broken heart. [She tucks his hair behind one of his ears, one hand brushing over Gai's cheek as though desperately reminding herself he was still there.] I cried, but I never dried up. [She shakes her head a little to emphasize the point before pressing in for another kiss too.]

They left that behind?

[Okay, that was definitely not the most romantic thing to say in this situation. It probably wasn't the right thing either, but he's so torn between laughing over the fact that that of all things was what had remained and being relieved that the Malnosso had at least left him that one small scrap of dignity that he can't help himself.

They really do have a strange sense of humor, he'll give them that much.]
