[Action] - Locked to Infinite + Gai

[The morning of April 9th brings excitement to House 36. Elizabeth wakes up, feeling maybe a little heavier than she usually does, but after a quick mental assessment brushes it off as nothing more than a desire to stay warm in bed, next to Gai.]

[She pulls brown hair out of her face to check the clock. Well, 8:36AM, it's probably time to get up and make some coffee for the house. A good minute is spent debating rolling over onto Gai and going back to sleep (interspersed with wondering how she got so twisted up in her nightgown--it feels like it's choking her now).]

[In the end, chores win out, but Elizabeth isn't going to completely deny herself. She stretches up and nuzzles up under Gai's jaw and kisses him there.]

Good morn--

[That was significantly lower than her voice usually is.]

[After that bit of fun, Elizabeth comes stumbling awkwardly out of her room--there's a man in Elizabeth's nightgown standing in the hallway and looking horrified.]

[Booker must never know. Which is clearly why she's screaming for Robert in the middle of the hall. But what could she do? The last thing she needed was Rosalind's thoughts on how to be a man, Booker would probably take one look at her and start drinking.]

[The feed starts up, and at least Elizabeth is no longer in a nightgown, but she looks just as panicked.]

No, this isn't a mistake in your journal, it's really me-- [She brings her thimble-covered pinky into the frame and rotates it.] --Elizabeth! But I'm-- I'm a man now!

As far as teaching goes, that all depends on who's on top. Some things are more fun than others when you're teaching someone else.

[Now his smile edges into mischievous, amused by the shade of scarlet on Elizabeth's face.]

I feel like I've been missing out. I had no idea they'd been teaching you about that end of things too.

Those knowing glances had caused her to read up on what Jack and Eugene might do with one another, and it had been fairly normal by her account and a little more than intriguing in a curious way. But frankly, she feels a little ashamed that she went poking for information on Jack and Eugene's potential sex life, so she's trying to cover herself.]

[She can't help but smile and nuzzle Gai again when he mentions one of the reasons he fell in love with her. Even if Elizabeth had no reason to doubt Gai's love, being reminded of the things that they loved about one another makes her a little fluttery.]

[Gai is happy to keep reminding her as often as she wants to hear it, in part because he loves to say those things just as much as he loves watching her react to them.

The fact that they earn him things like nuzzling and kissing doesn't hurt either.]

[For right now, he'll simply let her imagination do what it likes with this information... and maybe lean in a little when he says that to purr it into her ear.]

Nnh, Gai! [Elizabeth pulls back and rubs her ear, laughs a little as though he had been joking.] You can't tell me that you're not feeling the tiniest bit strange about me suddenly being a man. It changes most of what you do when we're... intimate. It doesn't bother you at all that my words are coming out of a different mouth?

[If that fact is bothering him at all, Gai certainly isn't letting it show. The smile on his face is so casual that they could be talking about what they're going to have for dinner later.]

I already told you: different mouth or not, what matters is that you're the same on the inside. The rest of it I can adjust to. Besides, it's not as if this is going to be permanent.

Some adjustment... I'd be going crazy trying to reconcile you as a woman. [Elizabeth reaches and pokes him in his abs.] Probably because of this.

[She sighs and runs a hand through her hair.] I hope it's not going to be permanent. Even if you can adjust like this is just another day in Luceti, I'm... [There's a pained hunting for the right word, and she squints and makes faces before she finds it.] I feel like I'm not in my own body. So I think, 'He can't possibly like me this way, this isn't me'.

That's because you aren't in your own body.

[His expression softens, and he leans his forehead against hers again, though he's still careful to keep his hands off of her for the moment.]

I'd be more concerned if you weren't feeling uncomfortable about it. I shouldn't have teased you like that-- don't feel like you have to do anything you don't want to. I'm just fine with waiting until this Shift is over to have sex again.

[Her comfort is his main priority.]

[Her next question is almost 'Wait, you would have sex with me like this?', but she catches herself in time. Clearly Gai didn't care, and maybe he had experience with both sides of things so it wasn't all foreign and new like it would be for her.]

[She pouts and presses her forehead against his again.] That could be days...

It could be.

[He won't lie about that much. Most likely it will be a week, as that seems to be the average Shift length.

But as far as his experience with this sort of thing goes... well, he won't offer up details on his own, but he won't refuse to answer if she asks, either.]

[Elizabeth isn't at all comforted by Gai's realistic stance on this, but it isn't as though she disagrees with the assessment. It probably would be days, at least. She pouts and fusses with her nightgown, trying in vain to make it more comfortable, but she's just too big for it now.]

This is the worst thing that's happened to me here, then. At least those other times where we were separated, I didn't know I was missing you. This time you're right in front of me. [Elizabeth wrings her hands and closes her eyes, but she still feels different. Gai's right, she's the same on the inside, but she's having trouble reconciling an entirely new body with how she usually feels.]

You know how to touch me when I'm a woman. I'm afraid of what it's going to feel like, for me, when I'm like this...

Then we don't have to do anything at all if you're uncomfortable with it.

[He's quick to reassure her, leaning in to kiss her forehead. While he would be more than all right with being on the bottom if she thought that would be more comfortable for her, he's just as all right with not going beyond cuddling and kissing until she's back to normal.]

We can just sleep together the same way we usually do when we're here. Male body or not, I doubt hugging and kissing are going to feel any different for you. I think those feel pretty much the same no matter what kind of body you have.
