What do you do when you feel nervous about something you really know you shouldn't be nervous about? How do you... convince yourself that there's nothing to be worried over?

...Life changes, all the time. We all have stages in our lives, and some pass quicker than others. Mine... well, my stages of life seem to have all been compressed into two years. But, honestly, like everyone else here I don't know when I might be pulled away. I don't know what's waiting for me on the other side either, so it makes sense to do everything I want to while I still have a chance.

But what 'makes sense' isn't getting through my thick skull. If it was, I wouldn't be talking at everyone.

[After her post to the network, Elizabeth rearranges wedding things one more time, then goes to the grocery. She walks back through the village with nothing but a carton of caramel-swirl chocolate ice cream (with graham cracker bits).]

It was a terrible answer, though. I'd accept that kind of answer from Rosalind Lutece, but she braids my hair sometimes. I have no idea who you are and you're barking at me to stop worrying as though it'd be enlightening to do exactly what you're suggesting. This transition is important to me, and it's going to be the only time I do it, so I'm not just going to throw a metaphorical rug over it.

You humans have some absolutely baffling concepts to your culture. Wasting all this time and effort putting together an unnecessary ceremony for one day, and the stress it puts on you- I've never understood it. I wanted to wring my wife's neck, how absurd! But if that's what you want for yourself, by all means.

[Worst part: Being forced to try on suits and having one tailored for him. He almost punched the tailor for taking so long. And it wasn't that long.]

Of course. I saw it only as a way to make things easier for us. And I never, ever want to do it again. Why must one put themselves through such torture when it's far easier and less of a hassle just to live with one another? Answer me that.

I guess you could always just live together for the rest of your lives, and maybe some people do that elsewhere. But was she happy about the ceremony in the end?
